Found Poetry Program

Wednesday, June 246:30—7:30 PMAlley RoomEast Fishkill Community Library348 Route 376, Hopewell Junction, NY, 12533

Using markers, crayons, and colored pencils we'll use a process called Erasure Poetry or Blackout Poetry to find poetry in the pages of discarded library books.

Erasure poetry, also known as blackout poetry, is a form of found poetry wherein a poet takes an existing text and erases, blacks out, or otherwise obscures a large portion of the text, creating a wholly new work from what remains.

All participants will go home with a small framed piece of original poetry.  No experience required. Ages 18+,
